There’s no sense in waiting for someone to come save you. Because no one’s coming.
This isn’t to say that you have to face your journey alone. Although life is mainly a single player game, the multiplayer component is what makes it worth playing. You should take advantage of this. Connect with people, find mentors, make friends, and share in great experiences. These things are amazing. But you have to put yourself out there and seek these connections out. Most likely, nobody is going to come knocking on your door trying to convince you to partake in life. And if you are lucky enough to have people like this in your life, who want to help you, don’t take them for granted. People will only try to help you for so long. Even if there’s something in it for them, if you aren’t receptive, it won’t be long before they stop wasting their precious energy on you.
At the end of the day, there is only one person responsible for your life. The person responsible for whether you’re chasing your dreams or wasting away. The person responsible for your well-being. And the person responsible for whether or not you will change. That person is you.
